Henry's Fork Island Park, Idaho
Flow: 1300 cfs [07/28/10 07:36 AM]
Flows have increased. Box canyon is fishing well. Ranch has slowed down (look out for flying ants and the beginning of terrestrials), but caddis emergers have still been productive. Higher water temps and hot afternoons have heated the river and slowed the fishing but the morning still offers great opportunities.

The Snake is starting to fish well. Dry Dropper rigs have produced the most fish but be on the lookout for more fish eating smaller mayflies and caddis.

South Fork of the Snake Irwin, Idaho
Flow: 13,300 cfs [07/22/10 01:56 PM]
The South Fork has dropped to Summer flows and is fishing very well, especially the Canyon. The upper is still very cold with very productive nymphing (pmd patters and rubber legs). From the canyon down there has been solid dry fly fishing with left over green drakes, grey drakes, yellow sallies, leftover salmon flies and pmd's hatching every afternoon. Fishing has been best from noon until 5ish. Look for fish feeding on gravel bars and riffles.
