North Riding Point Club is situated on the southern shore of Grand Bahama Island, the northern most island in the Bahamas archipelago. The Club is 20 miles due east of the city of Freeport and its International airport. The Club is situated on six acres of land fronting onto a spectacular beach. The main lodge and guest cottages are spaced along the shoreline, each its own access to the shore. All the buildings are air-conditioned. The lodge contains the kitchen, dining room, lounge, bar, tackle shop and one guest room. A freshwater swimming pool is located between the lodge and the guest cottages. The North Shore of Grand Bahama comprises several hundered square miles of flats, inlets and mangrove covered cays lieterally teeming with large wild bonefish. They tend to take a fly readily and spook less frequently than their more heavily fishedbretheren elsewhere. Fish in the 10-12 pond range are fairly common. The estimatedaverage weight of landed fish is 5-6 pounds. During the season permit are freqently encountered. The boats are specially designed 16ft Dolphin Super Skiffs with 85hp engines. The boats are trailered each day from the Club to one of the several launch sites on the North and South Shores. Each launch site convenientlyaccesses a uniquely differentarea of the vast fishing grounds and offers a wide variety of challenging angling.
