Meet the WCA Summer Fly Shop Staff: Brandon Belke
Meet the guys behind the scenes at WorldCast Anglers! Many are new to the area as well as WorldCast Anglers; however their passion for fishing and the outdoors runs true and strong. While you may not recognize their faces, they are working diligently and tireless to make your trip of fly shop experience a memorable success. Meet Brandon Belke!
Brandon is a Michigan Native, who has always had a special spot in his heart for fishing. His Dad, Mike, got him started at a very young age at his Grandfather’s Pond in Douglas, MI. Due to the extensive amount of water around, Brandon has been fortunate enough to fish for a variety of different freshwater species. After graduating high school, he decided to head South to pursue a degree in Marketing and Corporate Relations from The University of Mississippi. When he is not cheering on the Rebs at Vaught-Hemingway, all he thinks about is lacing the next Lochness Monster. Brandon will be working in the shop this Summer as well as doing marketing for WorldCast Anglers. If you catch him in the shop or around town, ask him if he has any jokes, he usually comes through. He is stoked to be here, and we are happy to have him working for us.
Brandon is the WorldCast Anglers Marketing Intern this summer season.
– Favorite Quote: “We ride together, we die together, Bad Boys for Life.” -Mike Lowery (Bad Boys II)
– If you could fish with one fly for the rest of your life, what pattern would you choose? Why?: Size 2 Black Sex Dungeon because I enjoy banging the banks in search of big, mean predatory fish willing to play the game.
– If you could take one person fishing, deceased or living, who would it be and where would you go: My Dad because he introduced me to this passion and we would go to Patagonia to pursue Jurassic Lake Rainbows or Sea Run Brown Trout.
– Favorite Fishing Memory: Hooking and landing my first ever trout on the fly rod on the Little South Branch of the Pere Marquette River.
