Salt River Fishing Report – (9.17.20)
The Salt continues to fish well through the beginning of September. Terrestrials are making dry dropper fishing very productive lately as it stays sunny and warm. Be on the lookout for Mahoganies and Baetis on cool overcast days. Similar to the Teton River and Green River, it pays big to be on the water early and before the traffic sets in. The Salt River can offer some great fishing opportunities for those looking to do something different than the Snake, South Fork or other major rivers. Brown trout migrating out of Palisades Resevouir can make for some surprises while streamer fishing.
